The arabic reference was in regard to the Koran, presumably the basis (at least in theory) of an Islamic republic, which as far as I’m aware was/is written in Arabic.

Besides the fact that you seem like an unapologetic nihilist, you should know that this:

they made THEIR OWN STATE an Islamic Republic, which as far as I can tell is Arab for no fun at all

is wrong.

Iranians are not, nor do they speak, Arabic. They are Persian and they speak farsi, not to be confused with farce, which is what your sentence is.

really good. i hope you (and i too) can successfully ride the razor’s edge between madness and genius… at least for long enough to do something interesting or worthwhile.

i hope you would save the kid if it were mine, though i also hope i don’t have a kid for a long while…

the disassociation you felt towards the “human safari” is a feeling i know well. it’s a sort of “me/us” vs. “them” mentality that seems to fuel said disassociation…

I also like how you alluded to France twice within 10 sentences.

it could just be that he wants to be “that one professor” who you always look back on and remember as the single teacher who gave you less than an A. some teachers get off on that weird power play. the quality of your work is irrelevant.

as long as you know you’re good, that’s all that matters. your future ausbildung/hochschule pathways do not care if you made 1 B in undergrad.
